What have I done to deserve this?

Every time I try to eat something, it hurts. Every time I laugh, it hurts. Every time I brush my teeth, it hurts.

I wish the ulcers would just go away.

Having ulcers, not one but several, really stings. Especially when there are a few sitting on my lower left inside cheek, one sitting on my lower right, and a few relaxing around my upper right inside mouth, it really, really sucks.

Two nights ago, had pizza and it was a painful experience. Yesterday afternoon, had pork noodles with colleagues, I didn’t even enjoy it!

I did some research on mouth ulcers. I was afraid I could be diagnosed with Hand, Foot, Mouth disease even though my hands and feet are fine. Now, according to mouthulcers.org, ulcers can develop in the inner cheek, inner lip, tongue, soft palate, floor of the mouth, and sometimes the throat due to several reasons:

1) Lack of sleep
2) Stress
3) Too much alcohol drinking
4) Eat too much spicy food
5) Drink little water
6) Accidentally biting your inner cheek or tongue

So I thought it has to be lack of sleep and eating too much spicy food. I haven’t been drinking much or drinking little water. Nor am I stressed to the point I feel like quitting my job.

There are several remedies. Salt. Salt mixed with water. Listerine or dettol.

I know applying salt would hurt very much. It’s not as if I have one or two ulcers you know. So, I had a better idea. Eat plum. Make sure the salty part grazed the bad ulcers.

It was, as I thought, damn painful.

This morning I woke up. I moved my tongue around. The f***ers are still there!!!

The only thing I can think of right now is that I won't be able to enjoy my mum's steam chicken tonight. And, that sucks too.
